Be Not Deceived…God is not ok with CHRISTians using profanity and cussing people out. It seems like it has become a trend (yikes!), but God wants us to use words that will edify.
He wants what comes out of our mouth to be seasoned with salt and grace. (Colossians 4:6)
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” -Ephesians 4:29 KJV
If Parents are striving to be Christians and have a Godly home environment, pleaseee don’t cuss at the kids. The kids will start early following the same pattern of growing up to cuss out others and adults. They can still be corrected without calling them those words.
Look up the cuss words in the dictionary to see what is being spoken over the kids and others…
Most kids/teens who use profanity usually do not know what the words mean….they just use it because it is popular.
Yes, it is used in movies, tv, and in many areas….but once we know the meaning of cuss words, what is the purpose for a CHRISTian to actually use it in conversation too?
Some have become comfortable and no longer have any conviction about it, but please pray and ask God to help us use words that reflects Christ.
There has been an increase of videos showing some spiritual leaders cussing out others and even during church and within their sermons in an ungodly way. No matter what we see… be not deceived to think it is ok.
This blog (5/24/23) is to help us remember and know that God still wants us to be mindful of what comes out of our mouth.
Prayer: God please sanctify and purge our mouth, tongue, and words. Let us be different from the world and use positive words. Even when we have to correct others or get our point across, please allow us to do it with Grace. Deliver us in Jesus name Amen!!
